Cheri M. Jrolf, DMSc, PA-C, is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 28 years of experience in primary and specialty care. Her career has spanned family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, and skilled nursing, equipping her with a well-rounded perspective on patient needs across all stages of life. With a Doctorate of Medical Science from A.T. Still University, Cheri is also a passionate advocate for patient-centered, accessible healthcare. She established Family First Virtual Care and Weight Management to provide flexible, high-quality care through virtual access, focusing on wellness, chronic disease management, and comprehensive weight management solutions.
Family is at the heart of Cheri’s journey. She is a mother of five, actively fostering and adopting to provide a loving, supportive environment for her great-niece. Cheri’s personal experiences with weight management challenges have influenced her compassionate, empathetic approach to patient care. Alongside her family, Cheri remains dedicated to balancing her professional and personal life, knowing firsthand the importance of a supportive community in health and wellness journeys.
Throughout her career, Cheri has earned several awards and accolades, including recognition for her contributions to obesity research, substance abuse studies, and dementia care. As Vice President of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, she advocates for physician assistants across the state. Her commitment to the medical field extends beyond clinical practice to education and mentorship, where she actively guides aspiring healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence in patient care.

Congratulations Cheri Jrolf!
Dr. Cheri Jrolf is a board-certified physician assistant with over 26 years of clinical experience in general and specialty medicine. She then completed her Doctorate of Medical Science at A.T. Still University, focusing on education. She is interested in preventative medicine and obesity management and has created several patient education programs. She is the mother of four boys, who keep her active as they are involved in football and baseball and participate in local community service. She is passionate about youth sports and has volunteered for many years for numerous youth athletic programs. Dr. Jrolf is a Medical Director and volunteers her time at the Special Olympics. She has also helped at a local thrift store and food bank serving Hillsborough County. Dr. Jrolf participated in a medical mission to the Dominican Republic with One World Surgery and Village Medical, where they served the local community to help close the gap in medical care.
